Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a mixed family. She is English as well as her father is Nigerian. She was born and raised on a council estate located south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She graduated with a BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions including the King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Madekwe made her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Madekwe was married to her long-time partner, Iddo. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated with each other on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a big family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months as well as hockey in winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but was able to dance. This led to the fact that when she turned 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance at this age.
