McKayla Rose Maroney has retired as an American singer and artistic gymnast. She was awarded the gold and silver medals in the vault contests, representing both the American gymnastic team and The Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics in 2012. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney is the daughter of Erin Maroney and Mike Maroney. (died 2019.) McKayla comes from Irish Catholic heritage. Her three siblings are Tarynn, Kav and Tarynn. McKayla was educated at home in order to compete at the highest level. Maroney remembered, "When i was a kid, I'd watch Tarzan and run across the floor on all fours. My mother would say"I have to get the child in gymnastics. Lauren Drain is a former member of the Westboro Baptist Church who wrote the book of 2013 Banished in which she recounts her experiences and eventual banishment out of church. Lauren is engaged with David Kagan, who is also a fitness model since the month of August. They have their daughter Aria Skye Kagan, born on December 29, 2019. Kagan was a short time living by herself in Topeka, but was haunted by remembrances of her deportation from the church and her family. She ultimately decided to relocate to Connecticut. The girl was segregated from her family and the church by her parents, sisters and her brother.
